The NYPD is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of the thug who sucker-punched actor Rick Moranis during an unprovoked attack on the Upper West Side.
Moranis, 67, was walking home on Central Park West near West 70th Street – just steps from his apartment building — around 7:30 a.m. Thursday when a stranger in an “I ❤ NY” sweatshirt suddenly slugged him in the head, knocking him to the ground, cops said.
On Friday, NYPD officers were seen posting up reward fliers with an image of the suspect around the Upper West Side.
The “Ghostbusters” and “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” star suffered pain in his head, back and right hip from the clobbering and went to a local hospital by private means for an evaluation before he reported the attack at the 20th Precinct, police said.
