- Police say that the actor was the leader of an abusive cult called ‘The Circle’
- Corena Leone made several claims against the actor last year before his arrest
- He has been taken into custody on a $45,000 bail and is set to appear in court
A Native American woman claims that Nathan Chasing Horse abused her from the age of 14 – allegedly raping her to ‘pay the price’ for him to ‘cure’ her mother of cancer.
Corena Leone called the actor a ‘predator’ who demanded that she give her virginity to him and the life of her firstborn to help her mother, who had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
He has since been arrested for allegedly running a cult that sexually abused young indigenous girls at his Las Vegas home – which he is said to share with five wives – though it is not clear if Corena is part of those allegations.
Chasing Horse, real name Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, is accused of being the leader of a cult called ‘The Circle’ and has been charged with sex trafficking, sexual assault of a child younger than 16 and child abuse.
The 46-year-old Native American played Smiles a Lot in the 1990 Oscar-winning film, Dances With Wolves and was arrested as part of a months-long investigation.
He was well known to the tribes as a ‘Medicine Man’ or ‘Holy Person,’ with those roles being highly regarded within Native American spiritual traditions and belief systems.

Corena, who posted her claims last year, says she called Chasing Horse and other men ‘grandfather’ – with the actor telling her she had to ‘give up’ her virginity to help her mother.
She said: ‘At the time I didn’t recognize what happened for what it was. And I was proud to help my mom. And I didn’t expect it to happen again I thought it was a one time thing.
‘But it just kept happening. On the road with just him and his helpers. And at first he would get a room for his helpers and one for us with two beds.
‘And either he would sneak into my bed or he would make me go to his and the rape continued.
‘Then it stopped being two beds and went to just being one in the room. I don’t remember much. I just know things happened every night and there would be several times he recorded himself raping me.
‘And would take pictures and all I could do was just lie there. I felt like I had to or my mom would die.’

She claims Chasing Horse started calling her his wife and banned her from speaking to other men – moving her into his home when she was 18
Las Vegas police have identified at least six alleged victims, with claims dating back to the early 200s in multiple states – including Montana, South Dakota and Nevada
She said that she felt she was ‘falling in love’ with the actor and wanted to be his wife when she eventually returned to her mother.
Corena added that he told her it was a ‘Sacred Secret’ between him, the grandfathers and herself, with many women speaking up at the time about the abuse.
The alleged cult leader eventually convinced his Corena and her mother to move to Las Vegas, where they lived with him until he moved them into an apartment.
He would tell her mother that he wanted to be with her, but it could only happen when she was 16 – because of the age of consent in Nevada.
Corena claims Chasing Horse then started calling her his wife and banned her from speaking to other men – moving her into his home when she was 18.

She claims that he was ‘verbally abused’ at first and blamed the women for his actions before he was allegedly physically abusive towards his wives – which he saw was ‘discipline.’
The actor reportedly told her ‘if you can’t fake being happy, then stay home’ which led her to several suicide attempts.
Corena was then allowed to live with her mother for a year, after she tried to stand up to Chasing Horse – claiming that other wives had tried to leave him.
She added: ‘By thanksgiving I had started to tell the girls one by one that I was planning on leaving. And then by the end of that month I had told him and I left.
‘And to this day they still have all the items I purchased in my name and refuse to give them back so I can remove them from my credit. And also refuse to pay off the debt he racked up in my name.
‘He made me drop out of school when I was 14 for ceremony so now I’m having to work, go back to school and everything else because he wouldn’t take responsibility for his actions.

‘Since leaving, I have spoken to other victims whose story is very similar to mine.
‘Now they are expecting a child themselves, and I am speaking out of preservation for women and young girls and preventing future victims.’
