  • Raise one end of your bed 10cm to 20cm by putting something underneath the bed or mattress so that your head should be above the level of your waist
  • Avoid wearing tight clothes
  • Don't eat food that triggers your symptoms
  • Don't smoke
  • Don't wear clothes that are tight around the waist
  • Avoid eating three or four hours before bed

How long does acid reflux last?

Acid reflux can last anywhere from a couple of minutes to hours- depending on the cause.
