A Connecticut woman was arrested for allegedly shooting two children, killing one and critically injuring the other, according to reports.
State Police arrested Naomi Bell, 43, on murder and attempted murder charges after the two children, aged 7 and 15, were found in the town of Plymouth Friday evening. According to local school authorities, the two victims were siblings and have a third, middle-school-age sibling who was not at home at the time of the shooting.
Police have yet to release the children’s names or say which of the two victims survived the shooting, but Sherri Turner, Plymouth schools’ interim superintendent noted in a letter to local families that the slain student was in high school, and the younger student was enrolled in elementary school.
‘We are devastated by this unthinkable tragedy,” Turner wrote, adding that counseling would be available over the weekend for families and school staff.
