Birmingham woman scoops £1million on her first Lotto attempt while bored on a rainy caravan holiday – The Sun

A FIRST-time Lotto player won £1million while bored on a rainy caravan holiday.

Jodie Scullion, 22, is the latest winner from Birmingham — the UK’s luckiest city.

The mortgage underwriter paid £5 to play the Run For Your Money game on her phone — picking ten cards and matching three values to pocket a fortune.

Jodie now plans to pay off the caravan in Brean Sands, Somerset, where she had been playing — and buy her own home.

She said: “I can’t believe I won first time I played.

“It’ll set me up for life. I can help my parents who have looked after me, and treat myself.

I can’t believe I won first time I played. It’ll set me up for life.

“As someone who works with mortgages, it’s unreal that I’m going to buy my own house without a loan.

“When I won I didn’t think it was real. Dad told everyone to keep calm because he knew that the whole family would start screaming.

“We just sat there crying then laughing, then crying again, and talked for hours about what I could do with the money.”
