Coronation Street is offering fans a once in a lifetime chance to stay on the historic cobbles.
Guests will live like a Weatherfield resident; staying overnight in a pop-up house called ‘The Rovers’ Annexe’ and enjoy a hotpot while reliving some of the best drama on the street.
The pop-up house will be situated in the heart of the street, next door to the Rovers Return.
During the stay, guests will be taken on a private tour of the set, followed by a hotpot dinner from the annexe while watching classic Corrie episodes and, if you’re really lucky, you might even get a pint in the Rovers and breakfast from Roy’s Rolls!
The view from the annexe looks out towards Audrey’s and a little further along to Preston’s Petals and the kebab shop. Guests will stroll down the street and pass Fiz’s (Jennie McAlpine), the Kabin and wander up Victoria Street.
Although the interiors of the sets will be closed, guests will be able to walk around the streets and take a stroll down the ginnel, of course!
The annexe has been kitted out in classic Corrie style, taking inspiration from the Rovers B&B décor. The living room has a dining table where guests can sit and enjoy their hotpot and the adjoining twin bedroom has prime Weatherfield views.
Head of Continuing Drama John Whiston said: ‘What fan of Coronation Street hasn’t had a dream where you find yourself transported into the show itself, wandering around the houses of your best loved characters. I certainly have.
This unique stay gives you the chance to do just that, stay the night and wake up right next to The Rovers Return. What better way to celebrate Britain opening up again than your very own staycation on the nation’s favourite Street.’
Amanda Cupples, General Manager for Northern Europe at Airbnb added:
‘As restrictions begin to ease and Brits plan summer staycations, Airbnb remains committed to helping people find unique and unforgettable travel experiences within the UK. Being the first people ever to stay on the nation’s most loved street is a dream come true for any Corrie fan and a once in a lifetime way to spend time with a friend or family member.’
The Rovers’ Annexe is on Airbnb to book and sleeps a maximum of two guests. It is available for one night only on October 2 for £60 with the fee being donated to charity.
