Who plays Kelly's mum Laura in Corrie and what has she been in before?

Gary Windass (Mikey North) is taken aback during tonight’s episode of Coronation Street, as Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) mum Laura (Kel Allen) arrives on the cobbles to have it out with him in regards to her daughter’s schooling.

Gary asks Laura to pop by, as he becomes intrigued about what’s going on with the payments to Kelly’s school. When he works out that she’s been stealing the money, he warns her that if Rick (Greg Wood) discovers what she’s up to, he’ll likely kill her.

Realising he may have a point about Rick, Laura soon hightails it out of there.

Who plays Laura Neelan in Coronation Street?

Laura is portrayed by actress Kel Allen.

Kel makes her first appearance in tonight’s episode.

What has she been in before?

Corrie fans might actually recognise actress Kel, as this isn’t the first time she’s frequented the cobbles.

She appeared in the serial drama two years ago, portraying the somewhat recurring role of Lulu Lockett — the manager of the strip club Tassles, where Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) worked for a brief period.

Appearing in a total of five episodes, Lulu was incredibly unhappy with Bethany when Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) and Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) showed up, and therefore she proceeded to sack her — twice.

In addition to Corrie, Kel has appeared in Emmerdale — where she recurred as a character named Tiff back in 2017 — as well as Cutting It, Children’s Ward and Always and Everyone.

Coronation Street continues Monday 27 April at 7:30pm on ITV.
