Who plays Chelsea Fox in EastEnders and why is it a new actress?

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is in for a difficult Christmas in EastEnders as not only does she have to come face to face with her ex-husband and serial killer Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet), but her daughter Chelsea Fox is also back.

It’s been a while since we saw Chelsea on our screens and as she’s now played by a new actress, here’s all you need to know on who is playing her and why the previous actress quit the role:

Who plays Chelsea Fox?

Chelsea is now played by Zaraah Abrahams. Zaraah has appeared in plenty of shows over the years, including Coronation Street as Joanne Jackson, but she is probably most known for playing Michaela White in the BBC One school-based drama Waterloo Road.

Why is Chelsea played by a new actress?

Actress Tiana Benjamin originally played Chelsea, but she left the role ten years ago as she wanted to pursue her career.

Interestingly, Chelsea left Albert Square to live with her grandmother as she didn’t want to be known as the daughter of a killer, so when Denise sees Chelsea and Lucas together, how will she react?
