Tiger King was the shocking and unexpected documentary series which no one realised they needed in their lives until it was dropped on Netflix. Seeing as the coronavirus pandemic has forced people into lockdown, the show has been binge-watched across the world during this time, acting as a welcome distraction to the current global situation. The story isn’t quite over yet as another episode is reported to be released soon on the streaming service.

Tiger King follows some of the leading and most controversial members of the big cat community in the US.
From murder plots, alleged bigamy and conspiracy theories of a man being fed to the tigers, to random country singing and a presidential campaign, Tiger King has it all.
The story primarily focuses on Joe Exotic, the owner of the Garold Wayne Exotic Animal Memorial Park, also referred to as the GW Zoo in Oklahoma, and his profound hatred for owner of Big Cat Rescue Carole Baskin.
Throughout the series, Exotic claims she was the one behind the disappearance of her second husband Don Lewis as well as threaten her on his online show Joe Exotic TV and read out entries from her diary for all to hear.
Fellow big cat private zoo owner Doc Antle also features in the series with many claiming several members of his staff are actually his girlfriends.

At the end of Tiger King, Exotic was sentenced to 22 years in prison for various charges including animal charges and murder-for-hire to get rid of his nemesis Carole.
Since the show aired, Exotic has spoken out to Netflix from prison about his regret over how he treated the animals.
He said: “Go sit in a cage with your animals for a week.
“When I left the zoo and sent my chimpanzees to the sanctuary in Florida and imagined what my chimpanzees went through for 18 years, I am ashamed of myself.”
When will the extra episode of Tiger King be on Netflix?
There are a total of seven episodes in the Tiger King documentary but there are now talks of a bonus episode being released on Netflix.
The news came from Tiger King star Jeff Lowe who took over Exotic’s zoo in Oklahoma.
In a video clip shared on Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Twitter, Lowe announced the news. He was joined by his wife Lauren.
He said: “Hey Kourtney [Turner] and Justin, this is Jeff and Lauren from the Tiger King show on Netflix.
“Thank you for watching our show. Christie [Dishner] said you were a big fan and yeah… you need a life, you just wasted seven hours on ours.”
