Thomas Markle Jr gives an update on his father’s health
Thomas Markle and children Thomas Jr and Samantha have given a tell-all interview about the Duchess of Sussex for Australia’s Channel 7 News.
In a clip from the bombshell interview, Thomas addressed how Prince Harry’s memoir Spare described Meghan as “mourning the loss of her father”.
When Australian reporter Taylor Auerbach said it sounds like he was dead, Thomas replied: “Exactly. She killed me and then mourned me.”
However, Thomas said he is “open to any kind of conversation” to repair his relationship with Meghan, asking: “How can I fix this?”
The explosive interview was the subject of debate on Monday’s instalment of Lorraine which was hosted by Ranvir Singh.
The royal expert Ranvir was speaking to shared after watching the clips: “It’s just so sad, isn’t it to see him like that?
“He’s desperate to be reconciled with his daughter and you can see that his health isn’t great as he’s had a stroke.
“You can even hear it in his words that he is really struggling to speak there.
“Whether this will be the moment Meghan reaches back out to her family or not, I don’t know.”

Ranvir interjected: “I’m not sure that talking more publicly is what she wants from all accounts.”
She added: “I wonder if the impact from that interview will be less as she’s not actually going to be at the Coronation.
“From her point of view, I think it is a very wise decision to just keep out of the way on such a big occasion.”
King Charles III’s Coronation is being held in Westminster Abbey on May 6.
Thomas has reportedly not talked to Meghan since 2018 following a bitter fallout.
He suffered from a stroke last year and admitted in the Australian interview he was “lucky to be alive”.
