The Chase fans were disappointed for the team tonight as they lost out on a huge £17,000 after a dramatic final round.
Nigel, CJ and Kirstie were the three players to get through to the last round.
They gained an impressive 17 step lead against Anne, but did get a few incorrect answer which costs them their win.
One frustrating mistake was a "wrong person answer", which is a rarity on the ITV programme.
This is when a player answers the question correctly, but at the same time another contestant presses their button, so it is counted as a wrong person answer.
The player who pressed their buzzer first should have been the one to answer, so the ITV show don't accept.
Viewers were gutted for the team, as one tweeted: "Not much anyone can do when Governess gets 17 in a row.. though think she was lucky with a few guesses! Annoying when the nice people lose."
While another wrote: "Does any team win on #TheChase anymore. It's becoming a bit boring knowing they're going to caught."
"Told ya!!! She did wipe the floor with them!! Shame!!! Well done team anyway",penned a third talking about Anne's victory.
Other went into meltdown over Anne's impressive victory as she beat the team with 28 seconds to spare.
One said: "Wow Anne Hegerty you smashed it!"
Another gushed: "You don’t mess with Anne when she’s on that form. An absolute queen".
"Well done Anne Hegerty on fire there", penned another The Chase fan.
