Strictly host Tess Daly launches new swimwear company Naia Beach as she grows her fortune away from the ballroom

Strictly host Tess Daly is swapping sequins for swimwear as she launches new brand Naia Beach.

The telly star, whose husband Vernon Kay is taking part in I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!,  recently registered Naia Beach Ltd with Companies House and has trademarked the name.

The 51-year-old's new beachwear brand will sell swimsuits, beach fashion and bikinis.

Tess is no stranger to the fashion world, having started her career as a model aged just 17.

She was forced to change her real name, Helen, as it clashed with another model at her agency and has been known professionally as Tess ever since.

Her new venture adds to a business portfolio that includes TV production company 21 TV Ltd, which she shares with Vernon.

Accounts for 2019 showed the company is worth a healthy £802,000 and has cash reserves of £600,000.

The celeb couple helped themselves to a dividend of £180,000 for the year, up £140,000 from the amount banked in 2018.

Tess and Vernon will have added significantly to their fortune this year too, with Vernon reportedly banking £250k for signing up to I'm A Celeb.

He will enter Gwrych Castle in north Wales on Sunday night, along with the likes of Shane Richie, Bev Callard and Sir Mo Farah.

This year’s series is the first to take place outside of Australia after the coronavirus pandemic forced crisis plans to save the show.

Bosses have also shortened the series by two days as they fear the cold and creepy castle could prove too much for some of the stars.
