Spoilers: Phil come clean as he hands himself in to the police in EastEnders?

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) made a shocking return in EastEnders, as he set about righting the wrongs that he was indirectly responsible for, but it seems as if he decides the best course of action is by doing things by the book, as he hands himself into the police in the coming episodes.

Once Sharon learned that Keanu (Danny Walters) was very much alive, she had Phil arrested for the young man’s murder. The following day, he refused to hang around and face the consequences, and therefore he headed on the run.

Upon discovering that Keanu was alive, he returned to Walford to seek vengeance — a desire which ultimately led to the boat crash, as it was an altercation between he and Keanu that set the boat off-course.

During episodes being broadcast this week, Phil returns on the day of Dennis’ (Bleu Landau) funeral — and comes face-to-face with Sharon (Letitia Dean) for the first time since the demise of her beloved child.

The two discuss things, and — after doing so — the Mitchell hard-man makes a big decision.

In the coming episodes — he awakes in a police cell, as Ben (Max Bowden) discovers that he’s handed himself in.

Phil prepares to confess to everything, and Richie soon arrives — hoping to save the day.

Later, Phil awaits questioning.

Will he confess all?

If so, will he go to prison?
