Spoilers: Joe Tate joins forces with Andrea to destroy Kim in Emmerdale?

Kim Tate (Claire King) has caused nothing but trouble for both Andrea and Joe Tate (Anna Nightingale and Ned Porteous) in Emmerdale, so one can’t help but wonder if the pair could team up to take the matriarch down at some point in the future?

Andrea struggled to get along with Kim front the minute she stepped foot in the eponymous village. That’s not to say she didn’t try, because she absolutely did — and the two even bonded at one point — but they were ultimately unable to become friends.

Kim was somewhat threatened by Andrea’s presence, as she felt that the young woman had stolen her beloved son Jamie (Alexander Lincoln).

In recent months, we’ve seen Kim scheme to get Andrea out of both her and Jamie’s lives once and for all, but Andrea refused to back down without a fight.

She even managed to get the upper hand at one point, and succeeded in ridding the village of Kim — though, no doubt that’s only temporary.

With animosity having been aplenty the last time they came face-to-face, its safe to assume that we haven’t seen the last of this feud.

However, Andrea isn’t the only one whose life Kim has turned upside down in recent years, as she did the same to Joe in 2018— and even attempted to have him killed.

Actress Anna Nightingale recently told Inside Soap that she knows actor Ned, and suggested that Joe and Andrea would make for a good team.

She said: ‘I do know him [actor Ned], and he is lovely.’

‘I see quite a lot of the fanbase of Emmerdale are keen for him to come back. He absolutely loved his time on the show, and I called him as soon as I got the job here.’

‘Storyline-wise, it’d be lovely for Andrea to have this ally who has one foot in the Tate family and one foot in their other life.’

With Joe having lost just about everything and everyone in his life — from Graham (Andrew Scarborough), to Debbie (Charley Webb) — as a result of Kim’s actions, it seems inevitable that he will someday return for revenge.

However, if he does so, could he perhaps team up with Andrea?

The pair share in their resentment of Kim, and — much like Anna suggested — they’d make an interesting dynamic.

We’d love to see it.

Emmerdale continues Monday August 31 at 7pm on ITV.
