Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) thought he’d managed to get the upper hand on Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) in EastEnders by stealing the keys to The Arches and securing the phone featuring Dennis Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) voicemail , but she turned the tables in an epic way during tonight’s episode, leaving Ian more concerned than ever before.
As Dotty lay sleeping on the Beales’ sofa, Ian saw an opportunity to capitalise on the situation at hand, as he stole the keys to The Arches from the young woman’s handbag, and used them to secure the incriminating evidence.
Afterwards, he took pleasure in evicting Dotty from the house, and — as he did so — Dotty became worried about the reason why he was so joyous considering the leverage she had on him.
Another altercation between the pair ensued when he warned her off Bobby (Clay Milner Russell), and — during said conversation — she came to realise what he’d done, and she raced back to The Arches to confirm her suspicions.
However, Dotty saw an opportunity to get the upper hand once more, as she reminded Ian that The Arches have a nifty CCTV system — which films in 4K, might we add — which means that Ian’s little crusade to get the phone has been captured on video.
Ian came to realise that he’s only made matters worse, as Dotty demanded he get her a meal on the house.
Will Dotty carry through with her threats and tell Sharon?
Or will Ian be able to get Dotty The Arches like she wants?
