Spoilers: Carla discovers the violent assault and accuses Peter in Corrie

Carla Connor (Alison King) gets wind of the violent assault carried out on her tormentors Chelsey and Jordan in Coronation Street, and comes to believe that beau Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is to blame.

Carla was horrified when Chelsey arrived on the cobbles and proceeded to make clear that she knew quite a great deal about her.

The reason as to how the pair were acquainted later came to light when Jordan arrived, and during tonight’s episode, Scott intervenes, kicking the tormentors out of the pub.

However, reports are heard on a radio of an attack on a man and a woman, and Peter turns off the radio to ensure Carla doesn’t hear.

In the coming episodes, V.E Day approaches, and thus Carla sets about decorating the pub.

She thanks Scott for getting rid of Chelsey and Jordan, but he reckons it’s Abi (Sally Carman) she owes her gratitude to.

As a result, she pays her a visit at the garage with a bottle of wine — thanking the mechanic for fighting her corner.

Abi reveals that she’s also got a past that she’d rather forget, and is glad that she could be supportive.

Later, Carla gets a shock via the the headline of the gazette — which reveals that there has been an assault on Brightwell Estate — and she begins to wonder if Chelsey and Jordan were the victims.

Therefore, she accuses Peter of being responsible — showing him the gazette — but he’s offended by her accusations and denies such a thing.

He assures her that he was at an alcoholics meeting when the assault took place, so if this is the case, then who is to blame?
