'Sex and the City': Carrie Bradshaw's 3 Worst Moments

You might think that Sex and the City fans all love Carrie Bradshaw, but many viewers have noted that Carrie was an incredibly flawed character. Miranda Hobbes, Charlotte York, and Samantha Jones were inherently flawed, too, but Carrie had moments where she was truly, jaw-droppingly, terrible to her very best friends and her boyfriends. Do you remember some of Carrie’s worst moments?

Carrie sent Aidan to help Miranda

Carrie talked a big game about how important her friendships were to her, but there were a few instances of Carrie letting her pals down. In Season 4, Carrie’s renewed love affair with Aidan was off to a rocky start when she received a call from Miranda. Miranda told her dear pal that she had pulled her neck and couldn’t manage to get up off the floor. Miranda was in desperate need of help, and she called Carrie. In turn, Carrie sent Aidan to deal with Miranda while she took a meeting with her editor.

Sending Aidan over to pick Miranda up off her bathroom floor would have almost been forgivable if she didn’t show up the next day to Miranda’s to talk about her problems. Carrie was so oblivious to Miranda’s pain that she barely acknowledged Miranda’s neck brace before she began rambling. She didn’t even bring cream cheese for her decoy bagels. It was not her finest moment.

Carrie insisted on keeping Big in her life, even when she knew it made Aidan uncomfortable

Carrie did a lot of things wrong when it came to Aidan. Not only did she cheat on him, but she accepted a proposal knowing that she probably didn’t want to marry him. However, the worst thing Carrie did to Aidan was continuing to see Mr. Big long after Aidan made it abundantly clear that having Big in her life made him uncomfortable.

Sure, Carrie had a right to be friends with whomever she wanted; however, Mr. Big was a bit of a special situation. Since Carrie cheated on Aidan with Big, it was especially callous to continue seeing him. It can be argued that Carrie continuing her friendship with Big after getting back together with Aidan was the single worst thing she ever did.

Carrie guilted Charlotte into lending her money for her down payment

Carrie was never any good with money. She seemed fully aware of that fact, as were her friends. Still, when Aidan asked her to buy back her apartment for the price he paid, she seemed completely floored that a bank was unwilling to give her a loan. Carrie wasn’t completely out of luck, though. She had three friends who offered her money, yet, she still felt the need to verbally attack the one friend who didn’t offer to give her money.

By attacking Charlotte and making her feel bad about getting her apartment for free, Carrie got what she wanted. Charlotte offered her the money, and she accepted it. In the end, though, she didn’t need to do that. Forcing Charlotte to do something she didn’t want to do was truly terrible behavior. Reddit users seem to agree.
