Reality Steve Says Chris Harrison Probably Won't Host the Next Season of 'The Bachelorette'

Aside from actually waiting for the next Bachelorette to be confirmed (which we kinda already know, more info on that here), one major question is still up in the air: Who the heck is hosting the next season of The Bachelorette? After Chris Harrison defended Rachael Kirkconnell amid her racism controversy, he announced that he’d be “stepping aside” from the franchise for an undetermined amount of time…meaning that the franchise is technically hostless rn. It doesn’t seem like that will be changing anytime soon either, if Reality Steve’s new spoiler post is any indicator.

In Steve’s post, he revealed GMA host Michael Strahan (who Chris issued an apology to last week) and After the Final Rose host Emmanuel Acho have been rumored to head up the franchise until Chris comes back. Steve doesn’t believe Michael or Emmanuel will take on the role full time because they have previous, more lucrative engagements. In short: Everything is still a mess. 🙃

“With Chris’ apology on GMA last Thursday, I still don’t think he’s done with the franchise forever,” Steve wrote. “You got Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, someone that has been helping Chris behind the scenes, basically vouching for him saying Chris is putting in the time and he’s learning, I think we can all see where this is going. I don’t think Chris hosts Bachelorette since it’s too soon, but I really don’t think he’s gone forever.”

🚨 WARNING: There are MAJOR spoilers ahead, so if you aren’t interested in knowing who the Bachelorette is, please scram! 🚨

As for what’s going to actually happen during this season of The Bachelorette, it’s TBD. On that topic, Steve said:

Nothing left to do but stay tuned!
