Piers Morgan regularly features on the British talk show, Good Morning Britain, but viewers have noticed he is missing from the panel this morning (May 4).
The host, who sits alongside Susanna Reid, has been replaced after it was revealed he would be taking a test for coronavirus.
He told fans he would be stepping down for safety reasons after suffering with a mild symptom of the virus over the past two days.
ITV then revealed the presenter would be replaced by host Ben Shepherd, while Morgan waits for his test results amid the virus scare.
The host tweeted an update for fans over the weekend, saying: “On medical advice, and out of an abundance of caution for a mild symptom that arose in past 48hrs, I’ve had a test for COVID-19 and so won’t be working on @GMB until I get the result back, which should be tomorrow.”
The outspoken host has received messages of goodwill from viewers, who wish him well, with one viewer saying: “Oh no, I really hope you don’t have it, get well soon Piers, GMB won’t be the same without you.”
The former journalist and editor at papers including the Daily Mirror and News of the World has been presenting the popular morning talk show since 2015.
He is known to have regular clashes with his co-hosts after becoming a permanent fixture on the show back in November 2015.
