PETER Andre has revealed he turned down Celebrity MasterChef, which will be starring his ex Katie Price next series.

The 42-year-old said he had been offered a spot but didn’t feel ready to give it a go just yet.

Writing in his new! Magazine column, he explained: “I love MasterChef and it’s the only other reality show I want to do, but I haven’t said yes because I don’t feel ready for it. 

“I know how to cook at home, but when it comes to creating meals from scratch I lack confidence. I want to get better before taking on the challenge, so hopefully I’ll be there one day!”

Last month we revealed that Katie had already started filming the show as she prepares to make her comeback to prime time TV.

A source said: “Katie’s really excited for people to see a different side to her – she’s actually a really good cook, and wants to show off her kitchen skills. 

“She won’t crumble under the pressure of cooking for Gregg Wallace and John Torode, because she has to cook for five fussy kids every night!” 

Katie and Peter are both no stranger to reality TV and actually met taking part on I’m A Celebrity back in 2004.

They married the following year and had two children together – Junior and Princess – before splitting in 2009. 

During their relationship they appeared in 17 series of their own reality show.

While the couple’s split was acrimonious for some time, they are both now amicable and work well co-parenting their children.

In 2019  Katie praised Peter for "always being a great dad" to their children Junior and Princess.

Peter went on to marry Emily MacDonagh, with whom he shares two children.

Katie went on to marry Alex Reid, followed by Kieran Hayler, who she had two children with.

She is currently dating Carl Woods and is hoping to have another baby with him.
