Nadine Coyle confirms Girls Aloud are in talks to reunite for 20th anniversary in 2022 – The Sun

GIRLS Aloud are in talks to reunite for their 20th anniversary in 2022, Nadine Coyle has revealed.

The group split in 2013 but are now back in touch and discussing a return.

Music insiders believe the five-piece, which includes Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh, could rake in millions from a nationwide tour, with there even being a chance of new music.

In news sure to excite millions of fans worldwide, Nadine confirmed: “There’s been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, ‘What do we do?’ It’s still early.”

The group scored 21 Top Ten hits including four No1 singles during their pop reign after forming on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

The members have gone on to have solo careers, with Cheryl scoring five No1s on her own.

Speaking on the group’s anniversary on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks A Million podcast, out Tuesday, Nadine continued: “I’m 34 years old so to think that I’ve been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn’t it?”

Kimberley told The Sun last month how for the first time in years she had spoken to Nadine at a celeb party.

It sparked hopes that relations were thawing following pals Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola’s long rift with Nadine and Sarah.

Nadine previously told The Sun there was jealousy as she was often given the most vocals as she was seen as the best singer.

But she was devastated when Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola decided the group would be splitting up on the final night of their 2013 Ten Tour, without consulting Nadine or Sarah.

Recalling a chat with their management, Nadine said: “They were like, ‘You’re not going to like this, but the girls want to split up the band’.”

Reuniting is all the fans need to forgive them.
