Jamie Lomas revealed he nearly bagged a role alongside his sister Charley Webb on ITV soap Emmerdale.
Jamie, who is known for starring in Coronation Street and as Warren Fox in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, said he would love to work alongside his actress sister and almost had the opportunity once before.
Charley plays Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale and speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag, Jamie revealed: ‘I would love to work with Charley. She’s such a great actress.
‘There was nearly a point in Emmerdale where something nearly happened, but it never ended up coming off.’
Jamie added that he is definitely keen to work with Charley in the future.
Revealing his hopes to produce his own show and involve Charley somehow, he added: ‘It’s something I would definitely like to do in the future.’
And it sounds like acting is something that definitely runs in the family, as Jamie has also shared his hopes of his daughter Polly, nine, whom he shares with Corrie star Kym Marsh, of making it big in the US.
He told new! magazine: ‘She’s just such a little natural in front of the camera. I don’t know where she gets it from. I was talking to her mum about it.
‘She’s such a little actress. I would never push her into it, but she just loves it. I’m aiming for Hollywood for her, I’ve got big plans for her,’ he said, before joking: ‘I’ll be taking 10 per cent off her don’t worry!’
Jamie began dating Kym in 2008 and they later tied the knot in 2012. They share daughter Polly and were parents to son Archie, who was born 18 weeks early and died moments after his birth.
His sister Charley, meanwhile, is currently on maternity leave from Emmerdale after giving birth to her third child, son Ace.
She is married to her Emmerdale co-star Matthew Wolfenden (who plays David Metcalfe).
