“@JackPShepherd88 @itvcorrie David's socks are stressing me out!! “They are inside out!” the fan wrote.
And it seems the actor couldn’t help but respond, as he took to the social media platform to tell the fan he “didn’t realise.”
The David Platt actor penned: “Sorry I didn’t realise, but next time Im on set, I’m gonna do it again. Just for you. You can’t stop me. No one can stop me. Prepare to be stressed out. It’s coming…”

The actor’s tongue-in-cheek response raked in thousands of likes from his 430,000 followers as a result, with some taking to the comments section in hysterics.
One fan said: “Ohhhh I can’t wait to see that, maybe the script writers could get you to mention it” [sic] while another added: “I noticed they were dirty, but I thought that was just because David is living life normally. You could really freak people out by wearing one inside out and the other not – or socks of different colours.”
A third fan commented: “David Platt is a rebel he would do it."
Another person commented a string of laughing emojis followed by: "I noticed this and thought “normal!”.. do it again! Write messages on the bottom or something?!"
And a fifth simply said: "That's something I reckon David would actually do!" with laughing emojis attached.

Maria Connor and Gary Windass had to adhere to government rules during their Corrie wedding, and despite the pair looking as dapper as ever, it was a cheeky quip by David Platt which stole the show.
As the filming of the vows was tricky, and a little different than normal, the ‘kiss the bride’ moment was unable to happen.
Instead, David, while smirking, shouted at the newlyweds “show us your rings,” to which Maria and Gary turned towards their guests and waggled their rings in the air in unison.
