In a special three-hander episode that came out in the aftermath of the crane collapse on Hollyoaks last year, Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) made a devastating discovery that ultimately lead her to leave Chester.
Revisited on E4 tonight, Hollyoaks fans have the chance to relive the moment that Cleo discovers the truth about Mitchell’s affair with her best mate Scott.
On learning the heart-breaking truth, Cleo decides she deserves better and decides to go away, but does this mean that she has left Hollyoaks for good?
Is Cleo coming back to Hollyoaks?
Actress Nadine Mulkerrin originally had to have her character Cleo written out of Hollyoaks in order to go on maternity leave.
Nadine and fellow Hollyoaks actor Rory Douglas-Speed announced that they were expecting their first child together back in June 2019 and Nadine showed off her growing baby bump at the British Soap Awards last year.
In October 2019, it was revealed that Nadine had given birth to a baby boy and she’s been sharing pictures of her new life as a mum on social media since.
With Nadine still on maternity leave and filming of multiple soaps suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, it can only be assumed that we won’t see Cleo again on Hollyoaks for a while now.
However, as Nadine left the show to go on maternity leave, she will return at some point in the future and has not left Hollyoaks for good.
Cleo’s final episode from November 2019 will be shown on E4 tonight at 7pm as part of Hollyoaks Favourites this week.
