Inside Strictly star JJ Chalmers’ family home with stylish new bathroom and pink playhouse in the garden

STRICTLY star JJ Chalmers has been thrust into the limelight after being picked for the BBC competition – admitting it felt "completely off the chart".

He'll soon begin training for Strictly in the gorgeous family home he shares with wife Kornelia Chitursko who he married back in 2015.

It is not known how the pair met, but JJ was spotted training with Kornelia for the Invictus Games and the couple share a four year old daughter called Hayley.

The family live in a village in the countryside and JJ often shares stunning snaps of his quaint life.

Their grand home boasts a stylish new bathroom, pink playhouse for their daughter and a huge garage where JJ loves to carry out DIY projects.

But the humble ex soldier revealed the reality of family life when he showed off his messy laundry room.

The Invictus Games 2018 host may be familiar to viewers in his role as a TV presenter.

He is good mates with Invictus Games founder Prince Harry and said the royal will be "laughing his head off" when he sees his pal on the dancefloor.

He added "I'm look forward to learning something brand new."

He even spoke about embracing the glitz and glam of the dance show, saying on ITV's Lorraine: "I'm going to immerse myself in this process" and said he would  "go the whole hog with costumes and glitter".

JJ told Lorraine his injuries from service mean he has "terrible posture", but said he'd work on it in dance rehearsals."

Prince Harry persuaded JJ to enter first enter the Invictus Games in 2014, and JJ won gold in a cycling event.

JJ and his wife even received an invite to all parts of Harry's 2018 royal wedding.

Asked about Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle, JJ said: “I’m just happy my friend is settling down with somebody.

"So many of our other friends are all settled down and have kids, so he needs to catch up.

“It’s fantastic to see that he’s been able to find someone, because I’ve been able to see what his life is like over the last four years and he works extremely hard, it’s very hectic.”
