I'm A Celebrity 2020 LIVE – Stars' MISERY at sleepless nights caused by scary murder of crows attacking them

I'M A Celeb campmates are getting no sleep thanks to a murder of crows dive-bombing them at the castle.

The angry birds have been terrifying cast and crew at Gwrych Castle, near Abergele in Wales, which was uninhabited and largely derelict for 40 years before I'm A Celeb started filming there.

And to make matters worse, the birds – known as a murder when in a group- keep crowing at dawn, waking the celebs up after just a few hours of sleep.

“It’s like they’re watching the celebs and crew, then when they’re in sight they swoop on them… It’s not just the crows, but seagulls too. They’re making life difficult for everyone and probably just want their castle back, one insider told The Sun.

The news comes after Ruthie Henshall was evicted from the castle.

The Olivier winning actress was sent packing via the public vote after landing in the bottom two alongside Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard.

    FAMILY TRAGEDY

Curtis Pritchard has revealed that his and brother AJ's beloved grandma Angela died on Friday at the age of 93.

In a lengthy statement, the 24-year-old dancer confirmed that AJ will not find out about her death until he leaves the castle, with it their grandad's wish that he carried on with the show.

The final of the show will be aired on December 4 with the former Strictly pro still in the running to be crowned King of the Castle.

Curtis shared a smiling photo of himself posing alongside his gran as he broke the news.

He said: “It is following our grandad's wishes that myself and AJ are to carry on with the current projects we are committed to.

“Grandad said to myself and AJ that it would break his heart for us to stop what we were doing as Nanna had such pride in our work.”

KATIE PRICE'S KIDS CRINGE AS THEY WATCH HER TRIALS FOR FIRST TIME

Katie Price's children were left cringing after they watched her trials for the first time.

The former model appeared on the show in 2004 and 2009, but has not watched any of her trials back.

In her latest YouTube video, she sat down with kids Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny to watch her past trials.

In one trial, Katie had to lie down in a bottle and answer Australian-themed questions while thousands of bugs were spun around her.

“You look so nervous,” Princess said.

    WHO'S FAVOURITE FOR THE BOOT?

Journalist Victoria Derbyshire looks set to be the next contestant to leave the I'm a Celebrity castle if the bookmakers are to be believed.

The BBC presenter is valued at evens by bookmaker Ladbrokes while Paddy Power are offering odds of 11/10.

Opera singer Russell Watson and Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, are at odds of 3/1 to be eliminated next.

Vernon Kay is at odds of 50/1 to be shown the door next.

    WHO'S FAVOURITE TO WIN?

Radio DJ Jordan North is the 5/4 favourite to win this year's I'm a Celebrity, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Giovanna Fletcher is second favourite at 5/2, while presenter Vernon Kay is a bit of an outsider at 4/1.

Sir Mo Farah and former EastEnder Shane Richie stand at 8/1 respectively.

Punters would have to be brave to put money on opera singer Russell Watson and journalist Victoria Derbyshire to take the crown as both are valued at 100/1.

    'I LOST A STONE'

Eliminated I'm a Celeb contestant Hollie Arnold said she lost almost a stone during her two weeks in camp.

The Paralympian was the first celebrity to be sent packing on Friday night.

Hollie, 26, said she has been left feeling “really happy” about her weight loss.

Speaking to Vick Hope on I'm a Celebrity… The Daily Drop, the athlete said: “I've currently lost nearly a stone so I'm actually really happy.”

Campmates generally live on rice and beans but they receive more extravagant ingredients as mutton and octopus when they win stars from the trial.

VIEWERS ADMIT THEY WOULD'VE 'FAILED' TRIAL

I'm a Celeb viewers admitted they would've “failed” last night's Bushtucker trial.

Journalist Victoria Derbyshire put herself forward for the trial and had to retrieve stars from a prison.

The stars were hidden within cells which contained the likes of reptiles and pigeons, and Victoria needed to get the keys from the warden's office in order to unlock each cell.

Victoria first had to retrieve a key from a cute-looking “wolf” – which led to viewers admitting that they would've failed the trial because of it.

    THE GC HAS SPOKEN

TV personality Gemma Collins has called for I'm a Celeb bosses to give Giovanna Fletcher her treat from home.

Celebs performed in a series of challenges as they tried to win messages from home for their campmates.

Gemma, who starred in the 2014 series of the show, called for Giovanna – who was one of three to miss out – to receive her gift from home.

Dancer AJ Pritchard and DJ Jordan North also missed out on their gift from home.

    'IT'S BEEN 84 YEARS'

One Twitter user compared Victoria Derbyshire's performance in the trial last night to the scene in 1997 film Titanic where an elderly Rose said: “It's been 84 years…”

The BBC journalist won nine stars as she faced off against a host of creatures including a wolf, python and lizard in Critter Clink.

Victoria was urged to pick up the pace by Ant and Dec on numerous occasions and her methodical approach was not missed by viewers.

    'HEARTBROKEN'

McFly's Tom Fletcher was left “heartbroken” after watching his wife Giovanna break down in tearsduring last night's episode of I'm a Celeb.

Celebrities competed in a series of challenges to win treats from home but unfortunately Giovanna missed out.

Tom shared a broken heart emoji alongside a picture of Giovanna crying alone in the Telegraph.

“That was really tough to watch,” the singer said on Instagram stories.

“It was awful seeing her… I wish she got it but everyone must be really craving it. Especially for those with really young kids who are craving that connection with home.

“That has been the hardest thing to watch by far,” he admitted.

    CASTLE CASH IN

I'm A Celebrity bosses shelled out £500,000 on isolating ten reserve stars for two weeks — even though none of them actually took part in the show.

The ITV juggernaut paid former contestants and winners £50,000 each for a fortnight in quarantine — just in case they were needed if the show was hit with coronavirus.

Despite pocketing Premier League-style pay rates for the two weeks, the stars left without being required to make any contribution to filming.

They stayed near the show’s new home in Gwrych Castle, North Wales, before being sent packing on Friday because producers decided they were no longer needed.

    SHANE'S IN THE MONEY

Shane Richie has been inundated with “extraordinary” offers following his stint on this year's I'm a Celeb.

The former EastEnder, 56, has won over fans with his jokes and stories.

When entering the castle, the stage and screen actor claimed he was broke after losing work due to the Covid pandemic.

A show insider told the Mirror: “Before going in Shane said he’d love to go back to EastEnders in 2021 but there are now other offers on the table too over the next 12 months.

“Shane’s going to be a busy man. He won’t be skint when he’s finished taking some of the opportunities available for him now, that’s for sure,” they said.

STARS STAYING ON LUXURY CHESHIRE ESTATE ONCE THEY LEAVE THE CASTLE

Eliminated I'm a Celeb stars may not experience the five star Palazzo Versace in Australia but they will still get a taste of luxury when they leave the castle this year.

Paralympian Hollie Arnold was the first campmate to be booted off the show on Friday while actress Ruthie Henshall was eliminated last night.

Ross King of Good Morning Britain revealed that the celebrities would be staying at Carden Park in Cheshire once they leave the castle.

The swanky estate is just over an hour away from the Gwyrch castle in Abergele.

Carden Park features a plush spa, golf courses, a vineyard and an on-site leisure club.

    THAT'S ALL FROM US FOLKS

Ruthie Henshall has become the second contestant to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

The West End star, 53, was booted from the campsite at Gwrych Castle in North Wales after receiving the fewest public votes on Sunday night.

Speaking to co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after leaving her campmates, she said: “It was definitely brutal but you have absolutely no control in there. You don't know what is coming next and the rollercoaster of emotions is ridiculous.

“You start thinking about things you haven't thought about in years. You are falling from emotion to emotion. But everyone in there was so wonderful and delightful. There was a real camaraderie in there. Nothing went unnoticed when you were up or down.”

Henshall also broke down in tears as she spoke about being a single mother.

She said: “As a mother all you think about are the things you do wrong. You never think about the things you do right.

“I had a good chance to have a think and talk to the mums in here. That's been incredible as I have been a single mum for so long.

“You're having to be good cop, bad cop, and you are trying to figure out ho to deal with each situation and you have no idea how to deal with it.”

Paralympic gold medallist Hollie Arnold became the first to leave the castle on Friday night.

WELL THERE IS DRAMA BEHIND THE SCENES

    Or above them, technically…

I’M A Celebrity campmates are beginning to have bloodthirsty thoughts — as they are being plagued by a murder of crows.

The birds keep dive-bombing the celebs and the ITV show’s producers around the building.

A source said: “The birds are like something out of a horror film.

“It’s like they’re watching the celebs and crew, then when they’re in sight they swoop on them.

“There’s been some near misses as they’ve divebombed on the cast while out in the courtyard.

“It’s not just the crows, but seagulls too. They’re making life difficult for everyone and probably just want their castle back.”

RUTHIE SPEAKS TO ANT AND DEC

Speaking to co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after leaving her campmates, Ruthie Henshall said: “It was definitely brutal but you have absolutely no control in there.

“You don't know what is coming next and the rollercoaster of emotions is ridiculous.

“You start thinking about things you haven't thought about in years.

“You are falling from emotion to emotion. But everyone in there was so wonderful and delightful.

    THE DIFFERENCES

Hollie was GUTTED to have been eliminated from the castle.

She practically wept about losing the chance to swim in offal, but Ruthie was delighted.

    Perhaps it was the MBE?

    RUTHIE BREAKS DOWN

The actress revealed she was struggling with the guilt about all her thoughts about being a single mother.

Speaking to Ant and Dec she said the castle had allowed her to think it through and talk to the other mums in camp and get advice.

And now the vote is reopening for tomorrow night!

    RUTHIE'S BUCKINGHAM PALACE ROMPS

Ruthie didn't meant to mention how she romped in Buckingham Palace with Prince Edward during a chat with Shane.

But she did – and she's slightly regretful now.

She said: “I felt like I was having a chat with a mater and it was only afterwards you think of the ramifications.”

“I could have made some money, sold my story!” she joked.

  • Carl Greenwood

    ELIMINATION TIME!

The second celebrity to be evicted from the camp is… Ruthie!

They faced off against Beverley Callard in the bottom two but it was the Olivier winning actress going home.

And off she popped for a chat with Ant and Dec.

  • Carl Greenwood

    BEHIND THE SCENES GOSSIP

So here's a tidbit for you – the elimination is actually filmed before we see it.

You can tell because there's a delay after the vote closes and until Ant and Dec pop into camp.

Also they'll be quite a long walk from camp to the studio bit for the interview so they have to prefilm it slightly –a matter of minutes – or we'll be here all night waiting.

Obviously this will come as a huge shock so please take a lie down in a darkened room.
