A HOUSE from a famous TV show has finally sold for a cut sale price – do you recognise it?

Hundreds of celebrities walked through the quirky property’s doors in Bow, east London when the morning TV show was broadcast from there between 1992 and 2002.

The house starred in the Big Breakfast – but has now sold for £1.4million less than its asking price.

Its cultural value failed to attract top bids and it finally sold for £4.3million, despite originally being listed for £5.75million.

The Big Breakfast was a favourite in the 90s, with kids getting up early to watch it and chatting about its famous guests at school.

It launched the careers of many household names including Chris Evans, Johnny Vaughan, Denise van Outen and Kelly Brook.

The show is probably best known for the interview between Paula Yates and INXS star Michael Hutchence.

It ran for 10 years between 1992 and 2002 for two hours every week day.

The house – officially called Lock Cottage – was first put on Rightmove in October 2020 with the huge price tag but it failed to sell and was then reduced to £4.6million.

However records lodged with the Land Registry now show it did sell in April 2022 – but for just £4.3million – £1.45million less than its first price tag.

Fans of the cult 90s telly show probably won’t recognise the pad as it has been completely refurbished since it was on TV sets every weekday.

The six-bedroom mansion – set in just under half an acre of land – has three storeys, an outdoor, 19-metre swimming pool and a roof terrace.

It is located on a canal in Bow, east London, in the shadows of the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, and has three bathrooms and steel staircases.

Exposed brickwork features in the living areas, plus slate finishes and bullet proof glass inside.

Its original Rightmove listing read: “The original Big Breakfast house from the Channel 4 morning show sits on just under half an acre of land and boasts its own unique post code.
