Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield replaced by Eamonn and Ruth next week on This Morning as hosts take half term – The Sun

THIS Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are set to be replaced by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford next week as the presenters take a half term break.

The upcoming change was announced on a TV advertisement for the ITV show today.

Alongside a clip of the Eamonn and Ruth dancing on a giant keyboard, a voiceover said: "Hit the right note with Eamonn and Ruth next week on This Morning."

The TV couple are the regular stand-ins for Holly and Phillip while they are off on holiday.Generally, they return to their usual Friday spot on This Morning when the two are back.Last summer, Holly, 39, and Phillip, 58, took an extended break from the show to holiday together in Portugal.

Good Morning Britain stars Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Dr Hilary Jones are all also on holiday next week.

Piers will be replaced by Ben Shephard, who will co-host the show with Charlotte Hawkins and Ranvir Singh.

Taking to Twitter to update his 7.5million followers on the news, the presenter joked he would be spending his holiday "in the broom cupboard" after lockdown restrictions have forced him to stay indoors.

He wrote: "I’ll be spending it in my broom cupboard, Susanna in her kitchen & Dr Hilary in his garage."
