Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (played by Eden Taylor Draper) and Jamie Tate’s (Alexander Lincoln) affair began quickly after his marriage to Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) broke down before Christmas. Despite trying hard to keep their affair a secret, in upcoming scenes it could be exposed. Will they stay in the village or escape it together?

Jamie arrived in the village early last year and was followed by wife Andrea and their daughter Millie Tate (Willow Bell).

However, before Christmas, it was suggested Millie might not have been Jamie’s biological daughter, and this caused a huge fracture in his and Andrea’s relationship.

As a result, the two have been threatening a tough custody battle over their daughter ever since. 

On the night of Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) murder, Jamie spent the night with Belle in the B&B and this ignited their affair.

After several attempts to try and stop seeing one another, Jamie’s mother, Kim Tate (Claire King) soon found out and threatened him and his relationship with Millie if he didn’t put an end to it once and for all. 

Despite Kim knowing, Belle and Jamie have done a pretty good job of hiding their sordid affair.

But in scenes which aired last week, Belle finally decided she couldn’t lead a double life any longer and broke up with boyfriend Ellis Chapman (Aaron Anthony). 

Not only this, Belle confided in Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) about her feelings for Jamie, but he flew off the handle when she told him about losing her job because Jamie couldn’t bear the thought of working with her any longer and put months of hard work keeping their secret at risk.

And it seems, in upcoming scenes, Belle and Jamie will be seen together jeopardising everything. 

Eden Taylor Draper who plays Belle has hinted there is a lot more to come for the scorned lovers. 

Eden explained: “Jamie has always said there is nothing there between him and Andrea and they are only together because of Millie.

“So as much as Belle has guilt and I do think morally she does question it, but he puts her mind at ease every time and says no, no you are what I want.”

Would the two ever run away from the village together though in a bid to get rid of the background noise?

The actor has now revealed just how big the fall out would be if their families found out. 

She said: “The thing with the Dingle’s is that there is always something dodgy going on in their lives.

“As much as Belle would say they shouldn’t comment on it, I do think she would feel guilty if her dad Zac (Steve Halliwell) found out that would be so hurtful to her.

“Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Charity (Emma Atkins) would have a lot to say, so she is happy to keep it secretive cause she knows what would happen.”

Could viewers soon see a showdown between Andrea and Belle if the truth is finally exposed? 

Eden explained: “Definitely Andrea has a nasty streak but Belle would be up for the challenge. They will fight for their man no matter what.

“She would like the opportunity to be with Jamie but there is Millie and Kim. 

“He has a lot of baggage but in her heart she wants Jamie.” 

Emmerdale continues on ITV on Monday, Wednesdays and Friday at 7pm.
