Jamie Tate (played by Alexander Lincoln) thought he had everything figured out; moving estranged wife Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) and daughter Millie into one of Home Farm’s cottages. But in doing so, it meant Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Luke Posner (Max Parker) were to be evicted. Despite not having always done the right thing, Andrea was adamant the village nurse and chef should not be displaced just so her husband could have her and their child close to him. Instead, Emmerdale viewers saw the two families strike a deal, but could something more develop between Andrea and Luke?

While Andrea has agreed to Jamie’s blackmail to give him an alibi in terms of the police’s investigation over Moira Barton’s (Natalie J Robb) hit and run, she is adding her own clauses.

One of those is having sole custody of Millie and that means moving out of the big house at Home Farm.

However, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) is furious with Andrea’s choice, which sees her partner, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) being accused of inflicting Moira’s injuries instead of the village vet.

So much so, Andrea has found herself without a home.

But, not for long as she and Wendy struck a deal.

Instead of Wendy and Luke moving out, and Andrea and Millie moving in, the four are going to live together.

“You’re not going anywhere!” Andrea said to Luke. “You might want to get your locks changes [Jamie]. We will at our place.”

“What are you talking about?” Her husband asked utterly confused.

“Look, it will be a bit of a squeeze, but as long as you don’t mind Sylvania families?” She told Luke. “I came to give you the good news, roomie.”

“It’s pathetic!” Jamie muttered, but Andrea hit back: “Look at you stamping your feet.

“You’ve got what you wanted, only now I’m not lonely and isolated like you planned – I’ve even got built in childcare so thank you!”

Luke, who hadn’t commented, heard Andrea plead: “Please? Don’t make me look a mug in front of him.

“Your mum’s up for it! Say yes?”

Luke didn’t argue against the idea, and so they would be living together from now on.

However, will an attraction form between Andrea and Luke?

Both are relatively new to the area, and both are disliked by some of the village residents.

Perhaps they will grow closer with their shared experiences.

However, some Emmerdale fans may not be happy if Luke hurts Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).

She and Luke decided to try and again and so far, it seems they are happy together.

But could Luke’s head be turned by a flirty Andrea?

Emmerdale airs weekday evenings at 7pm on ITV.
