EASTENDERS has teased Stacey Fowler's return while big secrets threaten to tear the Carter's apart as the soap confirms its comeback.

The BBC soap revealed the show will return on Monday, September 7 after almost 12 weeks off air.

And fans will be straight back into the drama in Walford as the soap teased what is to come for the residents of Albert Square.

There’s been a whole lot of love in lockdown for Ruby and Martin, but they are about to hit a number of hurdles, including the small matter of his estranged wife Stacey (Lacey Turner) returning.

The couple also notice money mysteriously starts disappearing from Ruby’s bank account. Panicked about what to do, Ruby decides to take matters into her own hands with terrible consequences.

Another couple facing a rocky patch is Mick and Linda Carter after their departure as landlords from The Queen Vic.

Just as it looks like they have solved one problem, it seems a new face in Walford is taking an interest in one member of the family.

As huge secrets between Mick and Linda from both sides cause a rift in their relationship, will they be honest with one another or let their lies destroy them?

While some couples are fighting to stay together, poor Chantelle has had to isolate with her abusive husband, Gray, and is desperate to get away.

Determined to leave her husband once and for all, Chantelle decides it’s time to put the wheels in motion and sets about meeting a divorce lawyer and planning her escape with her kids but will she be able to get away?

Meanwhile trouble for the Mitchell’s is never far away but now with Callum’s new job in the force, things are set to get a whole lot trickier for the him and Ben.

Torn between his role in the police, Ben and the Mitchell’s – Callum finds himself in hot water.

EastEnders returns to to BBC One at 8.00pm on Monday, September 7 and continue four nights a week.
