EastEnders stars Jake Wood and Tamzin Outhwaite reunite after exiting soap

EastEnders stars Jake Wood and Tamzin Outhwaite have reunited following their departures from the soap.

Jake joked there is ‘life outside of the square’ as he shared a picture with his fellow co-star.

Jake – who played Max Branning – left the BBC One soap back in February and shared the photo of himself and Tamzin on his Instagram.

Jake captioned his picture: ‘Great bumping into my previous work mucker @glamzin this week. So it turns out there is life outside the Square.’

Tamzin – who played Mel Owen on and off from 1998-2019 – commented on the post and said: ‘Definitely lots of life outside of and beyond the square!! So good to catch up xx.’

It looked as though the reunion could’ve been an even bigger one as Jo Joyner – who played Max’s wife Tanya – said on the post: ‘Ahhh! Wish I was in Glasgow now – what a dinner!’

Mel Owen enjoyed a brief fling with Max Branning when she was living in Walford.

Mel’s final scenes aired in November 2019 that saw her die after being hit by an oncoming truck which came moments after she had crashed her car.

Meanwhile, Max left Albert Square to start a new life after he was left heartbroken when Linda (Kellie Bright) chose her husband Mick (Danny Dyer) over him.
