Sharon Beale is prepared to make a shocking new decision as her campaign of revenge against husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) continues, and point the finger at Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) for brutally assaulting Ian.
The grieving mother has been plotting to get her own back on Ian for months over his part in the death of her son Dennis in the boat crash.
Previously she had enlisted ex Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to kill Ian, but the businessman survived the attack.
Viewers then saw her poison her oldest friend at Christmas, giving him a spiked Christmas pudding and making him seriously ill.
She isn’t letting up, and in a new twist in her quest to get justice she will make sure Tina gets the blame for assaulting Ian.
As we know evil lawyer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) murdered Tina when she confronted him about physically and mentally abusing wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer).
With Tina obviously unable to defend herself, added to the fact she was a prime suspect in Ian’s attack in the eyes of the police, Sharon has the perfect scapegoat.
Actress Letitia Dean revealed her character Sharon is set to clash with Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), who is furious about Tina being accused of something she didn’t do.
‘She knows what Shirley’s like because she’s the same – they’re both stubborn and once something gets to them they will not let it go,’ Letitia said.
‘Shirley knows Tina didn’t attack Ian and when she comes knocking for Ian in a rage, Sharon tries to step in because she needs Ian to believe it was Tina.
‘It’s hard for her to know that someone so close to Linda is being made the scapegoat but there’s no other option.’
‘She’s constantly on edge and now worried about getting caught out. There’s a couple of things said or done that spook her and she doubts herself.’
With not only Shirley to deal with but Ian’s mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) too, how long can Sharon keep up the pretence?
