EastEnders’ Danny Dyer has built a gym in his garden to reduce his man boobs and taken up yin yoga

EASTENDERS' Danny Dyer has built a gym in his garden to help reduce his man boobs and has taken up yin yoga.

The 43-year-old actor revealed that he wants to go down a "cup size" after piling on the lockdown pounds.

The soap star also confessed that he's become a bit of an expert when it comes to yoga and enjoys candlelit sessions.

Danny revealed: "I've just built a nice gym in the summer house.I need to start running, we've got a running machine, I need to get a nice bike and some dumbbells."

The actor who plays Mick Carter on the BBC One soap said he is focusing on looking after his health.

Speaking on Sorted with the Dyers podcast, he said: "I'm in my forties, I need to start looking after myself and take my cups down of my breast.

"I want to go down a cup. Maybe it will give me an incentive.

"Out the back is for running and sweating up – it's exciting times in the Dyer compound."

The soap star's 24-year-old daughter Dani said that she was planning on taking up yoga during pregnancy.

The Love Island beauty said: "I'm going to try a bit of yoga and mummy does yoga."

The EastEnders actor shocked listeners after he revealed that he practises the ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing.

Danny piped up: "And me, I wear a tiny little pair of shorts but I prefer yin yoga where you don't get up. Every move is on the floor and every pose if four minutes long, it's all about stretching your muscles.

"My favourite is the dead frog, you sort of lay on the floor as if you've been run over, like the recovery position, it's all candlelit. It's about controlling your mind in 40 degrees heat."

Danny was recently hit with heartbreak after his beloved grandmotherdied following a pneumonia battle.

The soap actor's mum Chrissie took to Twitter to confirm the sad news.

"I didn’t see my little mum for 10 days when she was in hospital and a wonderful doctor allowed me to give her a cuddle wearing full PPE," she tweeted.

"They let me take her home so she could die in her own house."

She added in a second tweet: "I will be eternally grateful to that wonderful doctor giving me that last cuddle and a chat. I miss her dreadfully."

The matriarch of the Dyer family was rushed to hospital with pneumonia back in June.

Her family were left heartbroken as they weren't allowed to visit her during the pandemic – despite her not having coronavirus.

Danny's mum at the time said: "My little mum is in hospital with pneumonia. Not Covid thank f***."

"I'm taking up parcels and phoning her, but not being able to visit her is f****** devastating."

The Dyers are known to be a close family, which has seen Dani break lockdown to visit her famous dad and her mum Jo.
