Corrie fans know that Geoff has never mentioned Elaine before, but has spoken about his ex Tess, who Tim thinks is his mother.
But viewers were recently introduced to Elaine as she paid Yasmeen a visit in prison and revealed herself as an ex of Geoff.
She went on to describe the abuse she’d suffered at the hands of Geoff, leaving Yasmeen lost for words.
After the prison meeting, fans were convinced that Elaine was in fact Tim’s mum going by a different name.
And it seems they were right as last night's episode saw Elaine reveal her true identity as Tim's mum to Alya.
Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see Elaine introduce herself to Sally in the cafe and explain that she’s Tim’s mother.
She adds that her world came crashing down when she was forced to abandon Tim but that Geoff made her life a living hell.
Sally urges Elaine to try and get through to Tim.
But as Elaine heads to Street Cars looking for Tim, she’s shocked when Geoff emerges from the shadows.
Could Elaine be in danger?
Later in the week Sally begs Tim to accept that Elaine could be telling the truth.
But when she adds that Geoff has been manipulating him his whole life, Tim shuts her down.
When Alya can’t get hold of Elaine, she starts to worry and reports her as missing to the police.
Later, Faye asks Geoff who he was arguing with in the ginnel but Geoff insists it was just a random mad woman.
When the police question Geoff, he insists his first wife is dead.
Later in the week, Geoff insists that Elaine is spinning a web of lies and that she isn’t Tim’s mum.
When Sally begs Tim to see Geoff for the abuser he is, Tim warns her not to make him choose between her and his dad.
Later, when Geoff tries to enter the restaurant, Alya refuses to let him in and threatens him with a broom.
Tim then rips up Elaine’s phone number and throws it in the bin, telling Sally he’s had enough of her suspicions – much to Geoff's delight.
But will Tim start to listen to Elaine before it’s too late?
Joe Duttine – who plays Tim – has teased that his character is getting closer to turning against his dad Geoff as Yasmeen’s trial looms.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor said: "Tim will see cracks in the picture he has of Geoff."
"It's a slow burn, and Tim's remaining loyal to his dad until the stage he can no longer do so. We may be getting closer to that stage.”
