BRITNEY Spears' boyfriend, Sam Asghari, said he won't be on "good terms" with her father, Jamie, until he "treats her right"
The personal trainer, 27, urged the 68-year-old to change his behavior towards the singer.
"I think he's a d**k, that's just my opinion," Sam said in a clip obtained by TMZ.
When asked if they will ever get along, he replied: "I hope so – once he starts treating his daughter right, then we can be on good terms."
He added: "[Britney] is doing amazing. I'll always have her back."
Sam – who has been dating the popstar, 39, since 2017 – reiterated his comments on Instagram last week.
"Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way. In my opinion, Jamie is a total d**k," he raged.
"I won't be going into detail because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time, I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom."
His rant came after the release of documentary Framing Britney Spears, which shed light on her mental breakdown, her 13-year conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement.
Jamie had controlled Britney's financial and personal assets and estate since 2008, after she had a public meltdown.
Last week, an LA judge ruled that he will no longer have sole control of her multi-million dollar fortune following public outcry supporting the #FreeBritney movement.
A source close to Britney told The Sun: "Since Jamie's health has improved, Britney does everything she can to avoid spending time with her father."
Though Jamie once suffered from a colon rupture in 2019, leading Britney to shut down her Las Vegas residency, the source said the 68-year-old has recovered from the setback.
"His health seems to have improved after a long period of everyone being worried he wouldn’t make it.
"Those around her feel Jamie uses guilt tactics when it comes to spending time with him. He uses his ailing health and tries to get her to help take care of him.
“Jamie wants to have a close relationship with Britney but with the conservatorship in place, it's become close to impossible."
While Britney's fans want to overthrow the conservatorship, members of the singer's team – aside from her mom, sister and Sam – still do not believe the singer is ready for full emancipation and needs her dad's support.
The source added: "Even though the court has now approved a co-conservator, her team feels Jamie has been a huge support to Britney and are confident she needs this type of help. It's truly a terrible situation."
Meanwhile, Britney's romance with boyfriend Sam has also destroyed her relationship with her dad.
The source explained: "Jamie's unwillingness to accept Sam has put a tremendous amount of pressure on his relationship with his daughter.
"He doesn't see Sam as a threat in terms of the conservatorship, he just sees him as 'one of Britney's boyfriends' and someone who could take advantage of his daughter.
"Most of Britney's team would agree with Jamie's view of her past relationships, but they feel Sam is different.
"Britney's team trusts Sam far more than any of her past relationships. He has been a constant support for three years and they know Britney isn't easy."
