BRITNEY Spears has allegedly blamed her father Jamie for her reduced custody time with her two sons.
The pop star has spent less time with her teen boys – 15-year-old Sean Preston and 14-year-old Jayden – since last year and believes her father Jamie is at fault, a source told US Weekly.
"For Jamie to say that he and Britney were on ‘good terms’ until August is outrageous," the source exclusively told the news outlet.
"August 2019 maybe, but not August 2020."
Britney and her 69-year-old dad Jamie have been a part of an ongoing legal war over the singer's conservatorship.
The insider also revealed: "[Jamie] is the reason she has far less custodial time with her sons than she did before.
"The incident with Jamie and Preston changed everything. It was a major blow for Britney.
"She, Kevin, Preston and Jayden have all seen Jamie differently ever since."
The occurrence – which prompted less visitation rights for Britney and her sons – took place prior to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 42, granting a restraining order against the singer's dad in September 2019, according to US Weekly.
The protected order was implemented after Britney and Federline's son Preston had an altercation with his grandfather Jamie.
Britney's former partner has 70 percent custody of both children while the Stronger singer gets 30 percent of unsupervised custodial rights, according to reports.
The pair previously shared 50-50 custody of their boys.
Meanwhile, Britney's dad has been in control of her finances and well-being for more than 10 years.
A conservatorship was put in place in 2008 following the singer's public meltdowns.
The ruling means that Britney has no legal control over her estate or financial and personal assets as those rights were granted to her father and a lawyer 12 years ago.
In August 2020, Jamie said that Britney's conservatorship is "no one else's business" and the #FreeBritney movement "is a joke."
Just a few days ago, Jamie revealed he has not spoken to his daughter since August and admitted the pair are no longer on “good terms.”
Samuel D. Ingham, Britney’s lawyer, told CNN that the mom-of-two was on “good terms” with her dad up until August – when her legal team filed to officially remove Jamie as her conservator.
Jamie spoke out on a rare occasion and opened up about the experience – confessing to the outlet: “I love my daughter and I miss her very much."
He explained: "When a family member needs special care and protection, families need to step up, as I have done for the last 12-plus years, to safeguard, protect and continue to love Britney unconditionally.
“I have and will continue to provide unwavering love and fierce protection against those with self-serving interests and those who seek to harm her or my family.”
Meanwhile, Jamie was recently seen leaving an airport as he dodged questions about Britney's conservatorship and wellbeing.
The sighting marks the first time Britney's dad has been seen in years.
