BRIAN McFadden and fiancee Dani revealed they have a scan of their first miscarried baby as an angel on top of their tree.

The former Westlife singer, 40, and Dani, 39, are 16 weeks along with their first baby, but tragically suffered two miscarriages beforehand.

Coming on Loose Women to discuss their pregnancy story, Brian told the panel that they keep the scan of their first child on top of their Christmas tree – calling the baby their "angel".

The singer said: "Guys I'm going to show you something if you look up above. See there?

"That's the scan from the first baby, so that's our angel on top of the Christmas tree."

The pair tried to conceive naturally, but eventually decided IVF was for the best.

Brian also described how he felt "helpless" as the couple went through the miscarriages together.

He said: "Your part takes up to 15 minutes and the woman does the rest. It was really really hard watching Dani do all the injections.

"So watching her go through all that was hard, but watching her go through the miscarriages, I felt really helpless."

Brian and Dani announced their pregnancy last week.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Brian said: "We're 15 weeks along now. We're due on May 14. But they said normally with your first baby it can be early."

Dani said she's been flooded with support following their pregnancy journey.

Dani continued: "It does [feel like a miracle] but I feel awful saying that, as I've had so many messages on Instagram.

"The IVF community is so lovely and I've heard real traumatic stories from people who have been trying for 10 years, people who have had eight-plus miscarriages, so I feel we got lucky on our third attempt."

Brian is already a father to kids Molly, 19, and Lilly, 17, with ex Kerry Katona.

The pair announced their engagement just before Christmas, but admitted to trying for a baby for two years beforehand.

They revealed in August that they lost their second baby while Brian was in Dubai.

Danielle was forced to fly out to meet Brian and see a top gynaecologist there.

The couple were considering a surrogate, as well as adoption, before the baby news.
