Amanda Holden pays sweet tribute to Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon on their birthdays with BGT throwback snaps

AMANDA Holden has paid tribute to her friends Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon with sweet birthday messages.

The Britain's Got talent judge shared a throwback with Simon, 61, in which the TV and music mogul's teeth were blindingly white.

He had his trademark white shirt buttoned down while Amanda was in a floral outfit.

She wrote: "Happy birthday to this lovely man…" and followed it with love hearts.

And in her post to Alesha, 42, she uploaded a BGT studio selfie of the pair and called her pal "my darling".

Not all of Simon's birthdays hold such fond memories for Amanda though.

Just days ago she revealed the terrifying moment she returned home after Simon’s 50th birthday bash to find the babysitter left her daughter Lexi alone.

The singer, 49, said she came home from the luxury bash to find the three-year-old by herself – calling it “the scariest thing ever.”

Speaking on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Amanda told the anecdote to hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.

She said: “It was about 10 years ago now – [Simon’s] getting on.

“We stayed there all night, and in the morning when we got home the woman looking after our kids thought we’d got home, and had left.

“It was seven o’clock in the morning and we walked into the house and no-one was looking after our children. Can you imagine? She was fired, can I say. It was a great party, with a horrific ending.”

Amanda went on to reassure fans that Lexi, now 14, was “fine, obviously”, “but that was the scariest thing ever.”

BGT viewers were left wowed on Saturday night after the mum-of-three revealed her incredible singing voice in the semi-finals.

Starting off the judging wearing a plunging gown, the blonde beauty changed into an all-white number to perform on stage.

The judge released her first album on Friday, which is already number one in the charts, and sang a track from the record for viewers in the semi-finals.

Many viewers were surprised when she delivered a pitch-perfect rendition of Barbara Streisand's ‘Not While I'm Around’ and admitted they hadn't realised the actress could sing so well.

Hundreds of fans rallied around her on Twitter calling her a "queen" and "amazing" for her moving performance, but others wondered if she'd had a bit of help from auto-tune.

One said: "Amanda is a queen – what a voice!"

Another said: "I wasn’t ready for this voice coming from Amanda. Is this for real or Disney version of auto tune."

And one more said: "Genuinely didn't know Amanda could sing like that. Incredible."

Another gushes: "How do we vote for Amanda to win?"

Amanda appeared dressed entirely in white while she performed after sparking complaints over her BGT dress last week.
