A Place in the Sun host snaps ‘shall we leave?’ as fussy couple slam property

Laura Hamilton was left gobsmacked on A Place in the Sun after being forced to end a viewing early after her “difficult to please” clients had had enough.

Gary and Janet were on the hunt for a new home the Spanish city of Orihuela in Alicante, with a budget of £140,000.

But Laura soon found it was rather hard to find the perfect property for the couple.

After the first two viewings went by without much fanfare, the presenter took the couple to her third property of the show.

But before Gary even stepped foot inside, he bluntly said: “It’s not blowing me away so far.”

And things didn’t get any better when they took a glimpse inside.

As soon as the couple stepped into the kitchen, Gary immediately pointed out there was “no window”.

“It is outdated,” Janet added, to which her other half agreed.

Refusing to give up hope, Laura said: “It’s a 42-year-old property. It’s been with the same family, it’s been their home.

"Is there no way you could see you guys making it your home?"

Gary takes no prisoners as he shuts her down, though, saying: "It’s too much work. In a nutshell, I don’t think this is the one for me.

"I wish I’d said to throw some more options into the mix, throw us a curveball, maybe an urbanisation, something completely different."

Laura then realises she has no chance convincing the couple and snaps: “So, shall we lock up and leave then?”

Thankfully, the presenter managed to come up trumps with her fifth and final property for Gary and Jane, with the couple deciding to put in an offer of £125,000.

It comes after another unimpressed couple on the show refused to step inside an £81,000 apartment.
