WWE WrestleMania 36: Which wrestlers have PULLED OUT of the show and why? – The Sun

IT'S nearly time for the biggest wrestling event of the year.

Wrestlemania 36 is going ahead despite the global Covid-19 pandemic, with WWE boss Vince McMahon keen to stress that the show must go on.

But ahead of the big one on April 4, there are already a number of confirmed wrestlers who won't be appearing.

Which wrestlers have pulled out of Wrestlemania 36?

THIS year's Wrestlemania is going to look different to usual.

For starters, it's being shown over TWO nights for the very first time.

But most importantly, the annual showpiece has been taped in advance and won't take place in front of a packed audience.

With areas of the USA under lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak, the show can't be held as planned at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Already ruled out is Roman Reigns, who was due to take on Goldberg in a Universal Title clash.

The star did not feel comfortable competing during the coronavirus outbreak after a brave battle with blood cancer leukaemia.

Reigns – a dad-of-three – is understood to not want to risk his own health by filming the pay-per-view at the WWE's Performance Center.

While Andrade will not be appearing after suffering a reported back injury, with Dana Brooke and Rey Mysterio quarantined because of the coronavirus.

Until the tape rolls on Saturday night, it's unclear just how many wrestlers will feature and who won't.

But according to WrestlingNews, these are the performers you won't be seeing in action at Wrestlemania 36:

  • Roman Reigns (self exclusion)
  • Andrade (back injury)
  • The Miz (illness)
  • Dana Brooke (quarantine)
  • Rey Mysterio (quarantine)
  • Buddy Murphy
