Most of us have lived in a grotty flat at some point in our lives whether it was during your student days or when renovating a project buy.
And many of us loved attempting to DIY our homes into a better condition or having them re-designed by a pro who turned out to be a bit of a cowboy.
And, when home re-design goes wrong… it goes really, really wrong.
It turns out that there are plenty of examples of terrible home design online from toilets by the hob to unusable plugs.
So, lets have a look at some of the worst property fails out there…
Yikes, well, first of all there’s a strange flat (see above), which has a squatting toilet in the kitchen right next to the cooker.
Because who doesn’t want to use the loo where they cook? How sanitary…
Meanwhile, this next toilet is in fact in the bathroom, thanks to a huge accessibility pipe we’re not sure how comfortable this loo would be.
Or, how you’re supposed to shut the lid.
Both of these snaps were included in a gallery put together by Bored Panda using finds from the Instagram account @typical.rykozhop.
Noting the worst housing fails on the web, the account loves to find strange property arrangements which render washing machines useless and showers cramped.

Plus, it seems whoever fit this toilet cistern might not have know what they were doing.
As it seems that the wall may have taken a battering to get it in the room.
Meanwhile, what’s more annoying than a home without enough electricity outlets?
A home with plenty of plug sockets, none of which can be used.
Whoever fit this radiator either ignored the socket entirely or didn’t care about the people living in the house having electricity.
Speaking of inaccessible things…
Plenty of homes have skylights which need to be wound open with a long stick.
But, we’ve never seen a domestic window with normal handles placed quite so far above where any human could reach.
Maybe try smacking it with a curtain pole?
Hopefully, it locks automatically.
Finally, this toilet has to be the worst fail of all.
Nobody has ever wanted a loo fit down a long, dark, windowless corridor.
Sitting on this throne must feel like you’re presenting yourself to the killer in a horror movie.
And, don’t even talk to us about why there’s no sink in there with it.
Just imagine, every person who has ever used this loo has walked up and down that hallway without scrubbing their hands.
The utter horror…
