The Australian Federal Police is launching a fresh probe into Australia’s most decorated soldier Ben Roberts-Smith, as an investigation by The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and 60 minutes revealed new evidence.
The media investigation found Roberts-Smith had buried USBs containing incriminating photos in a lunch box in his backyard, that he had been in possession of five burner phones, and that he’d prepared letters threatening other soldiers who were preparing to testify about his alleged actions in Afghanistan.
And this morning we reported Roberts-Smith’s employer Seven West Media had bankrolled his legal defence.
Today on Please Explain, Tory Maguire is joined by deputy editor of The Age, Michael Bachelard to discuss the investigations into Ben Robert-Smith.
