Bratavio was a two-piece band made up of Octavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt who shot to fame when they auditioned for the X Factor in 2016.

The band’s two members auditioned separately following a row “about undercooked chicken”, however, reformed after the judges said that they would work better together.

The pair then performed Buttons by the Pussycat Dolls, much to the judges' and Nicole Scherzinger's delight in particular, and were put through to Boot Camp.

The boys made it through to the live shows where they were the first act to be voted off the show that Matt Terry won that year.

Since the X Factor, a lot has changed for the singers who also appeared on the Jeremy Kyle Show in a segment called “fame ruined my friendship”.

In 2019, Octavio transitioned from male to female and changed her name to Miss Octavia Donata Columbro.

Octavia told The Sun how she suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts as she struggled with her identity living as a man.

"I thought to myself, 'If I can't be true to my gender identity, then I don't want to be alive'. Many nights I would cry myself to sleep, my pillow would be soaked with tears.

"I knew something was different in terms of my gender identity when I was younger. I was mimicking the girls dancing in the opening scenes of the Bond films.

“I'd wrap material around my waist like a dress and walk down the stairs like I was Miss World.”

Octavia also revealed that she would be transitioning privately, due to NHS waiting lists.

“This shows just how serious I am. I’ve worked really hard and saved up to fund this. I’m using my own money,” she said.

Octavia now lives a life out of the limelight and works as a sales advisor in Superdrug.

She now campaigns for transgender rights and urges everyone to “be their own kind of beautiful”.

Meanwhile, Bradley still appears on TV and most recently featured on MTV’s Ex in The City.

He regularly performs as a drag queen and is also a talented make-up artist.

During the pandemic, Bradley has also been performing in virtual shows streamed online while venues remain closed.
