THE Cap fits in the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster.

CAP DU NORD (3.15, nap) ran a cracker behind Royale Pagaille in a good handicap at Kempton last time.

That form has been franked in fine style after the winner ran into the Cheltenham Gold Cup picture with an easy Peter Marsh Chase success at Haydock last week.

But he's not the only one to shine since that Christmas contest. The third home came out and won in style next time too so the form looks super strong.

The tip showed his potential with an impressive Newbury win in November over shorter but looked tailor-made for this trip at Kempton. The ground was testing there so he should have no problem with the cut today.

Jockey Jack Tudor takes a valuable 3lb off his back and trainer Christian Williams can land another good Saturday staying success.

JP McManus has two good chances in Canelo and Musical Slave. There’s not a lot between them with the former loving heavy ground when winning the Rowland Meyrick Chase at Wetherby on Boxing Day.

Trainer Alan King is having a good season and his eight-year-old will come with a trademark late run.

At a big price, Kim Bailey could strike gold with Rocky’s Treasure who won well here last time and deserves this step up in class.
