A TikTok user has taken to the viral social media platform to show an incredible way of cleaning a rusty iron.
The user in question posted a short video showing the before and after, and the first image showed the iron looking worse for wear and absolutely covered in dirt.
The TikTok user penned: “Before” with a sick face emoji, before revealing the amazing finished result after cleaning, with the iron appearing completely rust free and good as knew.

So how did they do it? Well, revealing the magic behind the hack, the TikTok user said they’d used paracetamol and tweezers, and it’s that simple.
Getting the tweezers and holding a paracetamol in the middle, they vigorously rubbed the iron and all the dirt came off instantly, leaving it looking as good as ever.
And the post was liked by over 35,000 people, with thousands also sharing it.

One commented: “wow,” while another penned: “probably the best hack I walked away with from TikTok.”
Others admitted they’d used this hack before, with one writing: “Done this for years it’s such a great hack. Same as bicarb and vinegar helps get rid of rust.”
Another wrote: “I do this it’s well good.”

There are a handful of other methods for cleaning dirt from an iron and salt is recommended to help with the process.
You can lie a cotton cloth onto your ironing board with sea salt on and iron over the cloth several times to remove the burn stains, keeping your iron on a high temperature.
