Teen mum of Britain’s biggest family says five-hour labour ‘wasn’t that bad’

New mum, 19-year-old Millie Radford, one of Sue Radford’s 22 children claims giving birth to her baby “wasn’t that bad”.

The member of Britain’s biggest family welcomed her daughter, Ophelia, just over a week ago without having an epidural.

Millie said that she “loved every second of it” in her Instagram stores where she replied to questions from her followers.

When the teen mum was asked how labour went, she said: ”Loved every second of it, couldn’t believe how fast it went.”

Another asked whether it was as painful as everyone says.

Millie commented: “Honestly it’s not that bad, I think I just got lucky because she wasn’t back to back, when I got to the hospital I was already 6cm [dilated].”

The mum’s miraculously pain-free seeming birth meant many assumed Millie had an epidural.

However, she claims she did it all on just gas and air.

The only negative, added the team, was needing to go to theatre towards the end of the delivery.

Millie gave birth in the birthing pool after a short five-hour labour.

She hadn’t planned on using the pool, but said she would recommend it now.

And, it’s not just Millie’s labour which seems to have gone smoothly.

When asked if her little one was up in the night, Millie said:“NO!! I have to wake her up for night feeds and she doesn’t wake up till 9am.”

Sounds like the dream!

Millie, 19, gave birth to Ophelia, weighing 7lb 12oz, on September 10 at 7.05pm.

The father of Millie’s baby is not public knowledge, but it is believed that Ophelia was conceived during a short six-month relationship which is now over.
