Sagittarius season starts on November 21, taking us all the way up to Capricorn season on December 22. Sagittarius is one of the friendliest signs in the zodiac, supposedly. But what are they really like?

What are the personality traits of Sagittarius?

The symbol for Sagittarius is the Centaur– a mythical creature who is half-man and half-horse.

You’ll see the Centaur carrying a bow and arrow that is pointing upwards.

This speaks to the positive nature of Sagittarians, they are always looking at the bigger picture and urging upwards.

Sagittarians dislike small-minded people because they are so long-sighted.

In Greek mythology, this Centaur is Chiron, the son of Saturn.

Chiron was not like the other aggressive Centaurs, he was respected for being kind and gentle.

That’s exactly what Sagittarians are like– they are gentle, forgiving, sincere, and concerned with morality.

The sign is concerned with ethics and what is right and wrong, but can often come across as self-righteous martyrs.

Sagittarians are really fun and energetic, but tend not to take things seriously when they might need to.

This can be a positive trait sometimes, as Sagittarius can pick themselves up when they’ve been knocked down.

Sagittarius loves to chat, but sometimes overshares or is tactless.

They don’t care too much about their clumsiness though, because they are such free spirits.

We all have that one friend who is always late, don’t we?

The tardy friend in your life is probably a Sag.

Sagittarians hate deadlines and sometimes make promises that they cannot keep.

This is probably because they overestimate what they are capable of or what is realistically possible under certain circumstances.

However, when Sagittarius puts their mind to something, they are great at putting their thoughts in action in order to achieve their goals.

Sagittarians are big dreamers, concerned with idealism rather than realism.

This outlook combined with their passionate enthusiasm can get them far, and make them great motivational speakers.

Sagittarius can be quite brutally honest, though, and they’ll often say something with good intentions that might offend you.
