That’s because the pair have already formed a “bromance.”


Former Tottenham boss Pochettino is leading the charge to become Chelsea’s new manager.

The Blues are already on their fourth gaffer of the campaign in Frank Lampard.

But Poch is expected to take charge at the end of the season.

And an announcement should be made by Todd Boehly this week.

The midfielder, who has missed most of the season through injury, is out of contract this summer.

But he is said to be a big admirer of Pochettino and would jump at the chance to extend his deal under the tactician.

Likewise, Poch has apparently identified Kante as one of the players he wants to build his team around.

It’s reckoned he tried signing the World Cup winner during his time at Paris Saint-Germain, with pair already forming a “bromance.”

And their mutual appreciation of each other is now set to see Kante stick around at Stamford Bridge for several more seasons.

The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Leicester in 2016 for £32million.

And he has since gone on to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup while making 269 appearances in the process.
