Obese mum unrecognisable after £13k ‘mummy makeover’, boob job & 8st weight loss

A mum-of-three forked out £13,500 on a “mummy makeover” that’s transformed her appearance.

Lucinda Boshoff, then 33, had piled on the pounds after comfort eating in order to deal with her depression.

But as she ballooned to size 26, she decided the only way she’d feel comfortable in her own skin was through surgery.

Lucinda, a beauty therapist from Perth, Australia, decided to get a gastric sleeve op.

And two years on, she’s dropped from 18st 7lbs to 10st 5lb.

Following the impressive weight loss achievement, the mum splashed out for excess skin removal surgery as well as a breast lift and augmentation.

Lucinda said: "During my early adult years, I started overloading my plate with carbs for lunch and dinner with snacks in between.

"I ate food for comfort as I felt good whilst eating and then bad immediately after. A lot of the time I didn't even realise I was over-eating.

"I didn't value myself at all and didn't care about what was going in my body.

"I was depressed, worried, insecure and anxious for many years. I felt so unattractive which led to the wrong choices in life.

"I had many failed relationships with men so I secretly ate myself to the overweight, sad person I became."

As Lucinda has polycystic ovary syndrome, she found it difficult to lose weight naturally.

So she decided to go under the knife for a gastric sleeve in February 2019 – and dropped from a size 26 to 10 as a result of the op.

The mum recalled: "I didn't realise how much weight I had lost until people were complimenting me.

"But I felt more embarrassed underneath my clothes as I had excess skin.

"It made the initial surgery feel pointless as I was still unhappy in my own skin."

Lucinda went on to have an extended tummy and arm lift in January 2019 followed by the breast augmentation at Destination Beauty in Thailand.

She replaced her 42D cup bras with 32DD after an uplift and 400cc implants.

The mum was scared about the surgery but ended up being chuffed with the finished results.

She said: "I was petrified about the surgery. I remember being super upset and scared about being put to sleep.

"But it was totally fine and the best thing I have ever done.

"I am so happy that I took the leap and trusted in the surgeons as I am now looking forward to a healthy and happy future."

Lucinda added: "I am the most confident I have ever been.

"I am so proud of my boobs – they are my favourite bits. I hated them before, they were sacks of skin.

"The mummy makeover hasn't only improved my physical appearance but mentally too.

"I have more motivation and willing to go out and try new things.

"I even feel confident walking to the shops for a loaf of bread – whereas before I felt like everyone was looking at me."

The mummy makeover has not only improved her mental health but relationship with children Braxton, seven, Talon, six, Keona, two and partner.

She said: "It has improved relationship with partner a lot. He went through hell with me as I despised myself.

"We have been together for eight years and he loved me even at my biggest.

“But I feel as though he is more attracted to me now. His favourite part is my new boobs too."
